ASUS UL30Vt Laptop Review!

I have been personally using the ASUS UL30Vt laptop (even on this blog post) since it came out in December. I have to say, I am more than impressed with this little 13.3-inch beast. Regardless of its low price, the ASUS UL30Vt is probably the best laptop you can get today.

What do I like most about the ASUS UL30Vt?

The ASUS UL30Vt has a slim-body shape and weighs just about 3.5 pounds, meaning it’s real portable plus it has a battery life of about 10 hours on the UL30Vt-X1 model and 12 hours for the UL30Vt-A1.

In real life testing you could probably say the UL30Vt series get about 6 to 8 hours on normal use such as internet browsing. Even at that, you won’t find any other laptop out there with such a long battery life.

Even after 6 months of use, my battery has performed well, I haven’t seen any de-grading of the battery life at all.

One of the features of the ASUS UL30Vt is that it has on-board switchable graphics card that lets you switch between Nvidia G210M and the Intel integrated card. With the Nvidia G210M, you can flawlessly stream HD media up to 1080P and there’s absolutely no lag.

Also couple with an Intel Core Dual 2 UL7300, which is an Intel Core Dual 2 beat with enhanced ultra-voltage features. (This is one of the main reasons this laptop has the longest battery life on a 13.3-inch laptop today.)

The ASUS UL30Vt’s multi-touch touchpad is also one of its main features. Practically all of ASUS products come with this multi-touch touchpad feature and I have to tell you, you can’t live without one once you get used to them.

As for the keyboard, it’s very wide, usable, with very “soft” but definite feel.

So far in the 6 months of use, I have been 100% satisfied with this laptop and plan on getting the new ASUS UL30Jt also. (Btw, UL30Jt will come with an Intel Core i5, meaning it will be faster at the sacrifice of battery life.) If you want a good 13.3-inch laptop that will travel well plus you want a long battery life, get the ASUS UL30Vt, the best 13.3-inch laptop out there today.
